Hi everyone! Today is the first day of the 31 day challenge that a whole host of nail bloggers are taking part in. This is the first time I am doing a scheduled post so I hope everything works okay.
The first day is red nails. Well, I didn’t have many colours to choose from (although more than I have for the orange and yellow days!) – my collection is very purple/blue/green heavy. I did like the look I came up with though 🙂 Both polishes I used are from the brand Revolution. I discovered this brand recently because a pretty blue caught my eye and they were really cheap – and so far, I have not been disappointed. I started with two coats of Revolution Rainbow in Zeus. Here’s Zeus on its own:
I think I might have used 3 coats when I did this swatch, but I don’t quite remember. Next, I created the different patterns on each nail with striping tape from Planet nails. I went over it with the other Revolution polish, which I am holding in the pictures. For some reason, this polish seems to have 2 different names, and BOTH are shown on the label on the lid, so it’s not like they just put the wrong lid on. So it’s either Royal Plum or Russian Winiter (yes, Winiter. I forgive them for the double naming and bad spelling because it’s good quality and a great colour for such a cheap polish).
So yes, my lines could’ve been a bit more even, and then there is the blip in the zigzag on my thumb, but overall I really liked these nails. What do you think?
