Wow, day 26… it’s almost the end of the challenge! If I can just manage 5 more days I’ll have done it! 😀
Today’s nails had to be inspired by a pattern. I thought it would be cool to do some stamping for this, but I was really struggling with it, so I went back to something I find a little easier: A tiny brush and some striping tape.
The pattern I recreated comes from a book I have called A catalog of hand-drawn patterns: Over & Over by Mike Perry. The specific pattern was the ‘No-one Installation’ by Melvin Galapon. Here’s how it looked:
Once I saw this picture, I knew it had to go on my nails. I started with a coat of Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear in White On, followed by a coat of Tip Top Nail Chic in Cream Puff to make the white a little softer. I then used a small brush and striping tape to create triangles of Charlie Revlon – Lady in Red, Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure – Calypso Blue, L.A. Girl Matte – Matte Plum, and Sinful Colors Rise and Shine and Innocent. I then outlined the triangles using black striping tape.
