Hi everyone! Happy Friday! I can’t wait to enjoy a relaxing weekend 🙂
A few days ago I was excited to finally receive my first ever Born Pretty Store parcel, after a long wait with shipping and customs delays. It was filled with so many goodies I didn’t know what to try first! But since I’ve been lusting after holo polishes, the first thing to go on my nails was a holo.
This is Born Pretty Store Holo #10. Isn’t is beautiful? It’s a lovely cyan blue with scattered holo – and do you see how it pulls a little green on my thumb? Love it! This is 2 coats without a topcoat.
Next, I tried adding a topcoat, knowing that I wanted to stamp over it:
Look at that shine with topcoat! I really don’t think it took away from the holo goodness at all, just made it shinier.
Next, I wanted to try out one of my new stamping plates. It was a tough decision which to try, but in the end I decided fishies go well with blue, so I went crazy with plate QA62. I also tried out the Born Pretty Store stamping polish for the first time.
Ta-daa! It might have worked better with more fish on my pinkie, but I COULD NOT resist that little penguin!
I know my stamping isn’t great, but aren’t the fishies cute? Then of course, I had to try it with a matte top coat as well!
I was curious to see how the holo would look once mattified, and while I like it, in this case I preferred it shiny. Which do you like best?
You can expect to see some more fun with Born Pretty things in the next few weeks!
Have a great weekend! 🙂
