This is the fourth and final manicure for this month’s tri-polish challenge using orange, yellow and green. Halloween isn’t really a ‘thing’ here in South Africa, but for those of you that it’s a bigger deal for, Happy Halloween! And enjoy my Halloween-y nails!
I see that my lighting was a bit suspect for these photos, but I have to say, I ended up loving these nails a lot more than I thought I would! I started with a base of Essence Colour & Go Wanna Be Your Sunshine then using a sponge, I randomly dabbed on Essence Colour & Go Flashy Pumpkin and We Rock the Green, a lot like you would for galaxy nails. Where they got a bit too dark a dabbed on a little more Wanna Be Your Sunshine. On its own this background looked a bit muddy and messy, but it was perfect for this nail art! Then I stamped! I’ve tried 3 of my new stamping plates from the Born Pretty Store so far, and I am IN LOVE with them. The images transfer so well, I’m not sure if I am finally getting the hang of stamping or if they’re just engraved better than my Bundle Monster ones – perhaps a combination. I’ve heard that some of the Born Pretty plates are better than others, but so far I am happy. All the stamped images come from plate QA26. I first stamped the spider webs using Tip Top Nail Chic Armourplate, then added the bats and the spider using Essence Stamp me! Black. I was becoming a little disillusioned with stamping, but now I am back on the bandwagon!
