It’s Monday again, time for another tape mani! This weekend I helped babysit my boyfriend’s nephew and niece, who are the sweetest kids, but it did mean I didn’t get that much nail time, so I had to pull one out of the vault for this. That means poor photography, lousy photo editing, atrocious cleanup, and execution which leaves a lot to be desired – but at least the idea behind it was sound, haha.
And there you go. This was loosely based on this mani done by Glowstars.net, with the main difference being that hers looked gorgeous and polished while mine was a mess. These nails were done back before I started the blog, and I’m sure if I tried them again now I’d be able to do a better job! I started with Nails Inc Cambridge Terrace.
What is even going on with my fingers? Why are they that colour? Haha, I hope you can excuse that… along with the mess all over them. This is a great silver but it’s a foil which is virtually impossible to clean up properly. I topped it with Nails Inc Electric Lane holographic top coat.
I must confess, in the picture above it’s actually Electric Lane over a base of Tip Top Nail Chic Chiffon Squares, because the picture I took over Cambridge Terrace was just too shockingly bad! Haha! But, you get the idea. Holo top coats are so great!
I then added striping tape in different colours which I got from Planet Nails, and the studs which were from Bundle Monster. As you can see, I had some trouble with the red striping tape. But, if you ignore the mess, I really loved these nails at the time. Isn’t the holo gorgeous??
I hope your Monday isn’t too blue!
