Another Monday… another tape mani! This is by far the best thing about Mondays!
Back before I started the blog, I tried a simple reciprocal gradient with just straight lines. I was really proud of it at the time, but unfortunately I didn’t photograph it well and I didn’t clean it up, but I loved the concept so I decided to try it again, this time with criss cross lines 🙂
I started off with a gradient with Essie In the Cab-ana at the base of my nails, followed by Sinful Colors Cinderella and Tip Top Nail Chic Grape to Meet You. Cinderella is very subtle, but it helped to blend the other two colours better and gave it a bit of sparkle. Once it was dry, I added my criss-cross striping tape and then used the same 3 colours for a gradient in the opposite direction. I peeled off the tape and ta-daa, these beautiful nails were born! And just for fun, I’m showing you how my first ever reciprocal gradient looked! I even used a similar colour scheme, for these I used Nails Inc Holland Park and Kensington Park Road. Like I said, I was proud of them at the time but didn’t clean up or photograph them very well! So I’m even prouder of the ones I did today 😉
Hope you liked them!
