December Tri-Polish Challenge part 3: Christmas Wreaths

Hi everyone!

Well, it’s Christmas eve, so it’s definitely time for a Christmassy nail art. This month’s theme is gold and silver with colour accents, and for a gold polish I picked Tip Top Gold Digger and my silver polish is Tip Top Armourplate. I got the idea for these Christmas Wreaths from this post by Adventures in Acetone, although she used different colours and materials. Hers also look way neater and prettier than mine, but hey, I had fun! 🙂december-tri-polish-challenge

I started off with a base of Tip Top Chiffon Squares, a much lighter and softer silver, just as a base for my nail art. I then water marbled over it with Gold Digger and Armourplate. december-tri-polish-challengeThe above picture is shown with direct artificial lighting, while the others are done with the lightbox, just so you can see the difference 🙂 Once the water marble was done, I applied top coat in a strip in the centre of each nail one at a time and dipped it in green flocking powder from Planet Nails. There are a couple of bare patches but overall it worked pretty well. I then added red striping tape (also from Planet Nails) on either side of the flocking powder and finished it off with red bows from the Born Pretty Store!december-tri-polish-challengeWhat do you think of this Christmassy nail art?december-tri-polish-challengeCheck out the other participants at the link:
