Guess what? This is my 100th blog post! I didn’t realise until I started typing this up so I didn’t do anything specific for it, but I do love today’s nails 😀 You probably know by now that I love silver and blue together so I decided to use them for a fun skittlette combining stamping, glitter and texture. For my index finger, I did 2 coats of Sally Hansen Pacific Blue followed by 2 coats of Tip Top Nail Chic Rocky Road Glitter, which is the most gorgeous glitter topped filled with different sized holographic glitters. My thumb and pinkie fingers got 2 coats of Pacific Blue then I stamped using Tip Top Nail Chic Armourplate and Moyou Sailor collection 03. For my middle finger, I did a gradient of Pacific Blue and Armourplate then stamped the same image using Essence Stamp me! Black. For my ring finger, I did a textured gradient using OPI liquid sands in It’s Frosty Outside and Kiss me at Midnight. The silver glitters in Kiss me at Midnight seemed to deposit a lot more than the blue base while sponging the gradient on, the the gradient came out more subtle than intended – in fact, I suspect some of the blue that is visible is shining through from the base coat I did of Pacific Blue – but I thought the subtle gradient worked really well and I loved this look 🙂I ended up liking my middle fingernail – the gradient stamped in black – better than the plain blue stamped with silver, but I think the combination of both was part of what made this mani. I hope you liked it too!
