I made it! A little later than usual, but I made it in plenty of time and I have some great Surrealism nails for you today. I was pretty concerned about these because I knew from the beginning I wanted to recreate Dali’s The Persistence of Memory… but I also knew how tough that would be! Luckily, I think I was pretty successful.
Obviously, there is plenty of room for improvement, but I am really happy with the way these turned out. Here is Dali’s original work: I used this tutorial from Break Rules not Nails to help me along, although I rearranged her composition a little to include my thumbnail. I started with a base of 3 coats of Sinful Colors Love Nails and used a combination of acrylic paints and other nail polishes for the rest. I just did everything with my finest detail brush. I was really happy with my thumb, index finger and middle finger, though I do think my ring finger and pinkie could use some work!I hope you liked my recreation of this iconic artwork.
