I decided to play with my squishy stamper a bit more to create some 80s-themed nails. Since the 80s were all about bright colours I decided to start with a brightly-coloured distressed effect.
Over a base of Sinful Colors Snow Me White, I used the dry polish brush from different polishes to create a distressed effect. Chalkboard Nails has a great tutorial for this look here.
The polishes I used to create the distressed look were Essence Break Through along with Tip Top As the Beat Grows On, Walking on Sunshine, Salsa Pop, Sitting Pretty, and Cyan Can-Can.
Over this base, I decided to go even more 80s with five different images from my Moyou Time Traveler collection Back to the 80s – 02.
There are a few issues that I still need to work on with my squishy stamper, but overall I’m happy with it and I have high hopes for future stamping!
I used Essence Stamp Me! White for the stamping. I wasn’t quite sure of the distressed look on its own, but combined with the stamping, I really like it! What do you think?
