I hope you all had a relaxing weekend. You may have noticed I’ve been on a bit of a stamping run ever since I got my new squishy stamper, and today is no exception… more stamping! I am loving the new squishy, and the more practice I get with it, the better I’ll get! The only problem with this plan is soon I’ll be wanting some more stamping plates 🙂Lately I’ve been gravitating towards swirly, organic designs, and I really love the images I used for this. I started off with a base of Sinful Colors Kissy on my middle finger and Sinful Colors Black on Black on all the others. Kissy was in my untried pile but after I saw Voni from For the Love of Nail Art posting it in all its glory, I had to try it immediately 🙂
I started with the stamping on my thumbnail using Moyou Suki Collection 07. It’s a full-plate image but I’ve been eyeing that big swirl for ages. I stamped using ILNP Birefringence (h) and it stamps absolutely, fantastically, amazingly, perfectly. I actually gasped when I pulled back the stamper from my thumbnail. It was stunning and in the sunlight, when the holo effect came out, it was breathtaking.
I used Birefringence (h) for the stamping on my pinkie and ring fingers too, with another swirly image from Moyou Sailor Collection 03. For my middle finger, I used another part of the swirls from Moyou Suki Collection 07 with Essence Stamp Me! Black. On my index finger I did a glitter gradient with the glitter topper half of LA Colors Flashpop! Pop Artsy. It was something completely different to the other nails but somehow it all worked together.
Most of the time I stick to my ‘stamping’ polishes but I am determined to find out which of the other polishes I have might just stamp as magnificently as Birefringence (h) did. It might take a while with lots of experimenting, but hopefully I’ll discover some gems.
Honestly, I loved this look. I hope you enjoyed it too!
