It’s the third Tuesday of the month and that means a third Tri-Polish Challenge design! You can see the first two here and here. This month’s colours are pink, yellow and blue, and today I again went with a neon colour scheme and combined it with animal print!I love it! I’m not always the biggest fan of animal print, but combined with these neon colours, I think it looks great.
A few weeks ago I saw this post on The Lacquerologist and I knew I had to try the circular gradient she’d used. Instead of a gradient from one end of the nail to the other, you place the three polishes in a circle so that they all fade into each other. I used three neon polishes from Tip Top: Walking on Sunshine, Get the Party Started, and Cyan Can-Can. This is how it looked pre-stamping:Well, instead of a circular gradient, it looks like I randomly splodged the colours together, but I still like the effect! I struggled with it a little because the blue was a lot more opaque compared to the others and kept dominating the nail. I eventually managed to get that under control but it just didn’t look very circular. Next time I try this technique I’ll make sure the polishes are more equally pigmented. I decided to stamp over it and using Essence Stamp Me! White I stamped with m78 on my index and ring fingers and Moyou Time Traveler Collection – Back to the 80s 02 on my thumb, middle and pinkie fingers. I really love the image from m78 which combined zebra and leopard print. My stamping is far from perfect on these but I loved this look nonetheless. What do you think of this combination of neon shades and animal print?
