The Neverending Pile Challenge: Glitter

Hi everyone!

Missy from Gnarly Gnails has thought up another challenge. This time the idea behind the challenge is to use up untried polishes. I didn’t think I had enough untrieds to take part until I decided to stretch the rules a little to make it unblogged – almost every polish I have I’ve at least done a quick swatch on my right hand. Some I’ve also used before I started blogging, but I decided to include those as fair game for the challenge. I won’t be taking part in every day of the challenge as I don’t have all the right polishes, but I’ll be joining in where I can!

Today’s prompt is glitter, so I went with a simple but always lovely glitter gradient. reverse-glitter-gradient-tip-top-gold-mine-sinful-colors-decadentI started with a base of Tip Top Gold Mine, which is also an untried. I bought it recently after I saw Voni at For the Love of Nail Art do some stamping with it and I’m sure I’ll be getting a lot of use out of it. reverse-glitter-gradient-tip-top-gold-mine-sinful-colors-decadentMy technique is also something a little different than anything I’ve done before – I’ve done normal glitter gradients (with the glitter at my tips), but not a reverse gradient like this. The glitter I used was Sinful Colors Decadent. I just layered it with the polish brush. reverse-glitter-gradient-tip-top-gold-mine-sinful-colors-decadentThe result is super blingy! I love it and I’m glad I got some use out of Decadent! reverse-glitter-gradient-tip-top-gold-mine-sinful-colors-decadentWhat do you think of my reverse glitter gradient?reverse-glitter-gradient-tip-top-gold-mine-sinful-colors-decadentreverse-glitter-gradient-tip-top-gold-mine-sinful-colors-decadentIf you’d like to join in on this challenge, you can check out the Facebook group.
