The Neverending Pile Challenge: Discontinued Polish

Hi everyone!

Today’s theme in the Neverending Pile Challenge is a discontinued polish. I’m not really someone who will go to great lengths to get my hands on a specific polish just because it’s limited edition or something – I tend to think if you like a polish, you should be able to get it. Of course, I do buy limited editions too when I like them! This particular one I found on a sale rack at Clicks not long after I started getting into nail polish. I can’t find a lot of info on it so I’m not sure if it was available in other countries as well or not. Here it is (along with some nail art) – Yardley Glitter Glam Couture Cocktail. nail-art-yardley-couture-cocktail-tape-studs-black-green-brownIt’s a spectacularly sparkly lime green full coverage microglitter polish. I actually have tried this before (even though it hasn’t appeared on my blog until now) on my toes! This is one of my favourite toenail shades. nail-art-yardley-couture-cocktail-tape-studs-black-green-brownOn my thumb, index and pinkie fingers, I started with a base of Sinful Colors Black on Black and then lightly distressed it with Sinful Colors Slate and Essence Grey-t To Be Here to make it a little less stark. Once it was dry, I used tape to add the triangles of Couture Cocktail. nail-art-yardley-couture-cocktail-tape-studs-black-green-brownOn my middle and ring fingers, I just used Yardley Couture Cocktail and then added the studs (from Bundle Monster, I think). It’s the first time I’ve used any of these studs too, and I’ve had them for ages. I wasn’t sure about the brown colour, but I think they go great with this lime green glitter!nail-art-yardley-couture-cocktail-tape-studs-black-green-brown

I’m so glad I scooped up Couture Cocktail when I had the chance! What do you think of it?nail-art-yardley-couture-cocktail-tape-studs-black-green-brownThe Neverending Pile Challenge is almost halfway!npc-graphicTake a look at some more discontinued polishes at the link:
