Hi everyone!
Today’s theme in the Neverending Pile Challenge is a discontinued polish. I’m not really someone who will go to great lengths to get my hands on a specific polish just because it’s limited edition or something – I tend to think if you like a polish, you should be able to get it. Of course, I do buy limited editions too when I like them! This particular one I found on a sale rack at Clicks not long after I started getting into nail polish. I can’t find a lot of info on it so I’m not sure if it was available in other countries as well or not. Here it is (along with some nail art) – Yardley Glitter Glam Couture Cocktail. It’s a spectacularly sparkly lime green full coverage microglitter polish. I actually have tried this before (even though it hasn’t appeared on my blog until now) on my toes! This is one of my favourite toenail shades.
On my thumb, index and pinkie fingers, I started with a base of Sinful Colors Black on Black and then lightly distressed it with Sinful Colors Slate and Essence Grey-t To Be Here to make it a little less stark. Once it was dry, I used tape to add the triangles of Couture Cocktail.
On my middle and ring fingers, I just used Yardley Couture Cocktail and then added the studs (from Bundle Monster, I think). It’s the first time I’ve used any of these studs too, and I’ve had them for ages. I wasn’t sure about the brown colour, but I think they go great with this lime green glitter!
I’m so glad I scooped up Couture Cocktail when I had the chance! What do you think of it?The Neverending Pile Challenge is almost halfway!
