The Neverending Pile: Granny Colour

Hi everyone!

Today’s theme for the Neverending Pile Challenge is your best granny shade. I only had one polish that might be regarded, in certain circumstances, as a ‘granny’ shade, and that’s Essence’s Pink & Proud. swatch-2-coats-essence-pink-&-proudI used two coats for this swatch. It’s a pretty traditional pink, and the frosty finish which is very much out of fashion these days makes it ‘granny’ ish. swatch-2-coats-essence-pink-&-proudHowever – this polish does have one pretty huge redeeming factor (which is the whole reason I bought it in the first place) – it can STAMP!sinful-colors-black-on-black-stamped-essence-pink-&-proud-bm-209-born-pretty-store-roseAfter I saw this post by Ordinary Misfit, I knew Pink & Proud would be perfect to create something similar. I switched the black and the pink, but I love this look and it is anything but granny-ish. sinful-colors-black-on-black-stamped-essence-pink-&-proud-bm-209-born-pretty-store-roseI started with Sinful Colors Black on Black and then stamped with Pink & Proud and BM-209. I also added the French tips with Pink & Proud. sinful-colors-black-on-black-stamped-essence-pink-&-proud-bm-209-born-pretty-store-roseI didn’t have any big bows like Ordinary Misfit used for her nails, so I went with an oversized rubber rose from the Born Pretty Store. sinful-colors-black-on-black-stamped-essence-pink-&-proud-bm-209-born-pretty-store-roseWhat do you think? Did I put this polish to good use?
