It’s day 30 of the 31 Day Challenge! The second last day! Today’s theme is inspired by a tutorial. There are so many great nail art tutorials out there and I wasn’t sure where to even begin choosing one. In the end I settled on this daisy daze nail art tutorial done by Wondrously Polished. This was simple, but so very cute! I started with a base of Essence Jacob’s Protection. Once it was dry, I did the teal dots using Essence Roller Coaster. I also used a dotting tool to do the flowers with Sinful Colors Snow Me White and centers of Tip Top Salsa Pop. I used a toothpick to add the little black dots in the centres of the flowers with Sinful Colors Black on Black. I struggled a bit with the white as it’s become a bit thick towards the end of the bottle and I’ve run out of thinner. At first I was disappointed that this made me end up with uneven flowers, but it actually grew on me as the flowers look very cute. What was unfortunate is that my top coat bubbled… I’ve been trying to use up a bottle of Tip Top Quick Dry top coat. I like all the other Tip Top products, but not this one. Not only is it not very quick drying, but it both smears and bubbles. My usual top coat, Sally Hansen Insta Dri, also bubbles sometimes but only when it gets thick and the problem can be solved with thinner. The Tip Top one isn’t thick and it’s been bubbling since the bottle was new… sigh. Let’s just focus on the cute daisies!Last year I followed tutorials by Adventures in Acetone for some adorable animal nails:What do you think of my daisy nails? Will you be trying out this tutorial too? There’s just one theme left! Come back tomorrow for some nails honouring nails I love!
