Geometric Nails for day 16 of the 31 Day Challenge

Hi everyone!

I’m a little later with today’s post, but it’s still the 16th! Today’s theme is geometric nails. I decided to go with an old favourite of mine, a combination of tape and texture. Painted Fingertips | Tape and texture for geometric nails - day 16 of the #31DC2014Tape and texture are amazing together! A colour blocked look like this is very striking and not difficult to create. It’s also very versatile depending on the colours used – not long ago I did a similar look over a light base. Painted Fingertips | Tape and texture for geometric nails - day 16 of the #31DC2014I started with a base of Sinful Colors Black on Black. Once it was dry, I stuck on some striping tape in random geometric patterns. I then filled in the blocks using various textured polishes: Essie Lots of Lux, Essence Heart Explosion, Catrice PLUMdog Millionaire, Rimmel Luna Love and Shooting Star, LA Girl Sands of Time, and FOA Carnival Ferris Wheel.

Last year the theme for this day was Tribal Print – it was changed to geometric this year – so the look I did was completely different to today.tribal4What do you think of today’s look?Painted Fingertips | Tape and texture for geometric nails - day 16 of the #31DC2014Here are the remaining themes for the challenge:chalkboard-nails-31-day-challenge-2014-blueberry-blastTake a look at some more geometric nails at the link:
