Alien and flying saucer nail art

Hi everyone!

Today I have some cute alien nail art for you. In the wake of the 31 Day Challenge, I don’t have any nail art ‘saved up’ for the blog. I was far too busy with the challenge to get any extra posts done! I just managed to finish this for today, so hopefully over the next couple of weeks I’ll get a chance for some extra nail art. Painted Fingertips | Cute alien nails with a flying saucerI was wondering what nail art to do for today so I browsed through my “Nail Art I love” Pinterest Board in search of some inspiration. The moment I saw this cute alien nail art tutorial done by Adventures in Acetone, I decided to create my own version. Painted Fingertips | Cute alien nails with a flying saucerI started with 2 coats of Sinful Colors Amethyst followed by a coat of Sinful Colors Purple Diamond on all my nails. I then followed the step-by-step tutorial for the little alien. I used Essence Galactic Glam for the face and feelers, and did the eyes using Tip Top Champagne Whispers, Tip Top Armourplate, and Sinful Colors Black on Black. I used Black on Black for the mouth, too.

On my other 4 nails, I used small pieces of a sponge to sponge on Essence Galactic Glam, Sinful Colors Cinderella, and Tip Top Champagne Whispers. I then used Tip Top Armourplate to add some stars. The result was galaxy nails which I actually liked! I think I overworked the previous galaxy nails I did. In this case, I used fewer polishes, and picked polishes which were filled with sparkle so they could do all the work by themselves. It might not have been interesting enough without the alien, but I am definitely more happy with how my galaxies came out this time around. Painted Fingertips | Cute alien nails with a flying saucerI painted the flying saucer using Sinful Colors Black on Black and Essence Galactic Glam. The beam was also done with Galactic Glam.
