It’s Water Marble Wednesday again and I really like what I’ve come up with today! I’ve done water marbles consisting of horizontal stripes before (my bee water marble and mummy water marble), but I realised I’d never done one with vertical stripes so of course I had to try it. This is also the first time you’re seeing my shortened nails so I was hoping the stripes would make them look longer 😉
I started with a base of Sinful Colors Ciel and marbled over it using China Glaze Tart-y for the Party, Essie In the Cab-ana, and Tip Top In the Navy! These polishes marbled really well together and I even posted a picture of the bullseye in the water on Instagram. A stripy water marble is actually one of the easiest patterns I’ve tried, and since the polishes marbled well together I was able to get very thin stripes which I love. The pattern reminded me of a woodgrain and I immediately thought I’ll have to try it again with shades of brown – unfortunately I don’t think I have enough brownish shades but hopefully one day I will revisit this. What do you think of this week’s water marble?
