Birthday Nails!

Hi everyone!

It’s my birthday! I have made it to a quarter century – as it should be pretty easy to tell based on the nail art! Painted Fingertips | Birthday nailsI spent a wonderful week away at the beach with my boyfriend and his family. I’m sure you didn’t even notice I was gone as I had posts scheduled during that time. It is so warm here at the moment so the beach was perfect!

When it came to doing my birthday nail art, I knew I wanted to start with something sparkly. Sinful Colors Charmed was the perfect answer and I used it as a base on my thumb, index and pinkie fingers. For my other 2 fingers, I wanted a black base which wasn’t plain black. I decided to go with Tribal Colors #12, which is a textured black with holo sparkles, then add a generous top coat to smooth it out. My bottle’s formula is pretty disastrous, but it served its purpose here.

I added the outlines, highlights, and strings using black and white acrylic paint. I used rhinestones to shape out a sparkly ’25’, and there we have it!
