You may remember this post from a couple of months ago where I participated in a Halloween linkup with the Hobby Polish Bloggers Facebook group. This month, we’re doing it again, with a Christmas/holiday/winter themed post. Hobby Polish Bloggers is a group for anyone who casually blogs, mostly about polish or nails. It is not a group for sharing pictures but rather for asking questions, getting support, and discussing all things nails and blogging. If you’re a blogger too, check it out!
I have decided to stick with my Christmas themed nails and this one was inspired by a stunning stained glass look done last year on 365 Days of Nail Art. I loved it at the time and when I saw it again on my Pinterest board of nail art I love, I decided to recreate it. I started with a base of NYX Matte Sky Blue, which is the light blue you see in the background. I then did all of the black lines with a small brush and acrylic paint. I filled in the spaces using acrylic paint plus Tip Top Gold Mine for the gold parts. I finished it off with a shiny top coat and that was it! I really loved the way this came out and I can honestly say this was one case where it looked better in real life – maybe the zoomed in pictures made some imperfect lines a little more obvious but I am still really proud of it. The only nail I wasn’t crazy about was my pinkie with the decorations. I can’t decide if I like the candle or the nativity scene more! What do you think?
