Textured Christmas Trees

Hi everyone!

Today’s nail art is something I’ve been wanting to do for a while. I saw this post from last year on Adventures in Acetone and I loved the abstract way she created the Christmas trees, so I decided to try something similar. Painted Fingertips | Textured Christmas TreesI love the result! It’s simple to create, pretty abstract, but it’s also pretty clear that it’s Christmas trees. Not to mention the silver with the blue texture looks lovely! Painted Fingertips | Textured Christmas TreesI started with a base of Tip Top Chiffon Squares. Once it was dry, I made a triangle shape with tape and added the striping tape at random diagonals. I painted over it with OPI Liquid Sand in Kiss Me At Midnight and peeled off the tape. I added the star glitters and that was it! Kiss Me at Midnight is from OPI’s Christmas collection from last year, and I really think they did a great job with it. Even though blue is a non-traditional Christmas colour, put it in a themed mani like this and somehow it seems really Christmassy. Painted Fingertips | Textured Christmas TreesWhat do you think?
