Swatches: Sinful Colors Cinderella, Glass Pink, and Purple Diamond

Hi everyone!

Today I have some Sinful Colors polishes to share with you. Before we start though, I wanted to show you the new Stash page I have created. It’s been there for a few days already, but since it’s pretty unobtrusive you probably haven’t noticed. Just click the ‘My Stash’ link at the top of the page, right under the header picture and you’ll come to a list of all the polishes I own. I have linked to swatches where I could. If you see anything on the list you’d like to see swatched or know more about, let me know!

Back to today’s polishes – I grouped these three together as they all have a similar finish, but as far as I can tell they weren’t all part of one collection. Let’s start off with my favourite of the three:Painted Fingertips | Swatch: Sinful Colors CinderellaThis is 4 coats of Sinful Colors Cinderella. All of these are very sheer and require extra coats to reach opacity. Cinderella is a baby blue filled with pink shimmer. I love the shimmer and I have used this lovely shade in quite a few times in nail art already.Β  Painted Fingertips | Swatch: Sinful Colors Cinderella

Because it is sheer, it tends to disappear when used together with other polishes, but the shimmer always comes out. It is also just lovely on its own! Painted Fingertips | Swatch: Sinful Colors Cinderella

My bottle is already more than half used – a combination of its loveliness and the sheerness that requires so many coats. The pink shimmer really complements the blue base perfectly and I just love this one. Painted Fingertips | Swatch: Sinful Colors Glass Pink

Next up is Sinful Colors Glass Pink. Again, this is four coats. This one is also very sheer and takes a while to build up – even on four coats you can see a little visible nail line if you look closely. Painted Fingertips | Swatch: Sinful Colors Glass Pink

This is a very light baby pink packed with a golden shimmer. While I like the colour in the bottle, on the nail it just doesn’t work that well for me. I think the golden shimmer clashes with the yellow undertones in my skin, and the pink is too light for my pale skin too. I think this would be just gorgeous on someone with a different skin tone, but it looked a little off on me. Painted Fingertips | Swatch: Sinful Colors Glass Pink

Finally, we have Sinful Colors Purple Diamond. Painted Fingertips | Swatch: Sinful Colors Purple Diamond

This is 3 coats of Purple Diamond. The others were both 4 coats, so this is the least sheer of the three. For some reason my photos of this one didn’t come out that great, but let’s just work with what we have here. Painted Fingertips | Swatch: Sinful Colors Purple Diamond

Purple diamond is a pale purple packed with silver shimmer. It also seems to have a slightly more frosty finish than the other two, but I wouldn’t think of it as a ‘frost’. Painted Fingertips | Swatch: Sinful Colors Purple Diamond

Overall: all of these had a decent, easy formula but were very sheer and so needed more coats than I usually like to apply. I love the shimmeriness, and all of them look great in the bottle so any one could look very pretty depending on your skin tone. Cinderella is my personal favourite. What do you think?

Great swatches! I own all 3 of these but have yet to feature them on my blog. You’ve inspired me to dig into my Sinful’s drawers of my helmer to see what jewels I can find. Good luck with your stash page! I have one on my blog, but I don’t think it’s doing quite the job I was expecting it to. But then again I don’t have a lot of links on it yet.

Thanks! They do have some real beauties – always great coming from an affordable brand. I doubt many people will look at the stash page but it’ll help me keep track as well!

Not only do I love Cinderella but its my teenage daughters favorite. I really do have to get my hands on purple diamond it’s so pretty. Lovely swatches.

So I love to see a swatch of sinful colors opal glitter. I love that you don’t just swatch the latest OPIs. They’re lovely but so are lots of other brands πŸ™‚

    • http://paintedfingertips.wordpress.com paintedfingertips

I’m so glad you like seeing other polishes as I just blog with what I have! I know what you mean though, when a big brand brings out a new collection you just see them everywhere. I’ll try to work on Opal Glitter on the weekend!

        Thanks πŸ™‚

Thank you! You definitely should – the shimmer makes all the extra coats worth it πŸ™‚

All are very lovely. Only one I have is Cinderella

    • http://paintedfingertips.wordpress.com paintedfingertips

Well that is the best one! πŸ™‚

I’m a big fan of glass pink although I’m sure my bottle doesn’t get as much love as it should.

    • http://paintedfingertips.wordpress.com paintedfingertips

That’s the problem when there are so many pretty polishes, right?

I love Cinderella. I often reach for it during the spring months. They are super sheer, but super pretty.

    • http://paintedfingertips.wordpress.com paintedfingertips

For me Cinderella is worth it because it is just so lovely once you’ve gone through the extra coats.

I own Cinderella and I agree that it’s best on it’s own so that the shimmer shows through πŸ™‚

It is so gorgeous hey! I love it πŸ™‚

I don’t own a ton of Sinfuls, but Cinderella is gorgeous!

    • http://paintedfingertips.wordpress.com paintedfingertips

Isn’t it? The shimmer is just perfect!

  • http://vmoller.wordpress.com vonimoller

Cinderella is my favourite too! Glass pink is pretty too but too sheer for me and then unsure why but Purple Diamond doesn’t do it for it, it isn’t ugly, just not my cuppa tea

    • http://paintedfingertips.wordpress.com paintedfingertips

Cinderella is my fave by far. The other two are pretty but just not quite right for me.

  • http://heydarlingpolish.blogspot.com Marisa @ Hey, Darling Polish!

Ohh these are all really pretty!! I think Purple Diamond is my favorite!

    • http://paintedfingertips.wordpress.com paintedfingertips

They’re lovely hey? Purple Diamond is such a pretty shade πŸ™‚

Great swatches! Actually, Cinderella and Glass Pink are some of my favorite polishes to franken with, but I’ve never worn them on their own!

    • http://paintedfingertips.wordpress.com paintedfingertips

Thanks! I’ve never tried frankening yet. I guess using them will add some shimmer although I think their base colour would probably disappear pretty quickly in other polishes? Maybe I should try it some day.

  • Arathael

Ah Purple Diamond…a long ago purchase and I didn’t get why it didn’t look like the bottle after a couple coats….lol! Also love Cinderella, I think I just got a perfect light blue creme to use as a base color, in my January Ipsy bag…

    • http://paintedfingertips.wordpress.com paintedfingertips

Haha, yes they are really really sheer! So pretty though!
