Hi everyone!
Today I have some Sinful Colors polishes to share with you. Before we start though, I wanted to show you the new Stash page I have created. It’s been there for a few days already, but since it’s pretty unobtrusive you probably haven’t noticed. Just click the ‘My Stash’ link at the top of the page, right under the header picture and you’ll come to a list of all the polishes I own. I have linked to swatches where I could. If you see anything on the list you’d like to see swatched or know more about, let me know!
Back to today’s polishes – I grouped these three together as they all have a similar finish, but as far as I can tell they weren’t all part of one collection. Let’s start off with my favourite of the three:This is 4 coats of Sinful Colors Cinderella. All of these are very sheer and require extra coats to reach opacity. Cinderella is a baby blue filled with pink shimmer. I love the shimmer and I have used this lovely shade in quite a few times in nail art already.
Because it is sheer, it tends to disappear when used together with other polishes, but the shimmer always comes out. It is also just lovely on its own!
My bottle is already more than half used – a combination of its loveliness and the sheerness that requires so many coats. The pink shimmer really complements the blue base perfectly and I just love this one.
Next up is Sinful Colors Glass Pink. Again, this is four coats. This one is also very sheer and takes a while to build up – even on four coats you can see a little visible nail line if you look closely.
This is a very light baby pink packed with a golden shimmer. While I like the colour in the bottle, on the nail it just doesn’t work that well for me. I think the golden shimmer clashes with the yellow undertones in my skin, and the pink is too light for my pale skin too. I think this would be just gorgeous on someone with a different skin tone, but it looked a little off on me.
Finally, we have Sinful Colors Purple Diamond.
This is 3 coats of Purple Diamond. The others were both 4 coats, so this is the least sheer of the three. For some reason my photos of this one didn’t come out that great, but let’s just work with what we have here.
Purple diamond is a pale purple packed with silver shimmer. It also seems to have a slightly more frosty finish than the other two, but I wouldn’t think of it as a ‘frost’.
Overall: all of these had a decent, easy formula but were very sheer and so needed more coats than I usually like to apply. I love the shimmeriness, and all of them look great in the bottle so any one could look very pretty depending on your skin tone. Cinderella is my personal favourite. What do you think?
