Cute Sweeties Nail Art

Painted Fingertips | Cute sweets nail art

Hi everyone!

A few weeks ago I saw this bright cute sweets nail art on the Dalai Lama’s Nails and I couldn’t wait to try it on my own nails. I went with a completely different colour scheme, but kept it bright, colourful, and fun and I love the outcome! Painted Fingertips | Cute sweets nail artI started off by creating a gradient using the 5 Rimmel Cocktail Colours: Apple Berry Smoothie, Cutie Colada, Shirley Temple, Baby Bellini, and Hawaiian Punch. These 5 polishes are absolutely amazing together and I confess that I’ve used them for gradients before – once for a guest post on Ordinary Misfit, and once also as a background for sweets nails! Both were done quite a long time ago, so I was glad to revisit this lovely combination. Painted Fingertips | Cute sweets nail artOver the gradient, I used white acrylic paint to freehand the sweets. I really need to go on a hunt for a better brush – the one I have is very poor quality and I’ve been struggling with it for ages – every line feels like a battle. I’m struggling to find a new one which is small enough though. Luckily, I was still mostly happy with the outcome. I hadn’t realised I had these iridescent glitters in my collection and the discovery led to me doing the mermaid glitter placement nails I recently posted about. I think it’s the bright colours and sparkliness that makes these fantastic! What do you think? Do you love the Rimmel Cocktail Colour collection as much as I do?
