I am really excited to share these polishes with you. I have wanted them for a long time and I was finally lucky enough to get 3 of the shades as a late Christmas gift from my niece. When I first started getting into nail polish about 2 years ago, I started following a lot of nail blogs. At this time the boom of textured polishes was just beginning and I was fascinated by the pictures I saw – I had never seen a textured polish before. I was desperate to get my hands on one but just couldn’t seem to find any in-store – either we didn’t have the brands here, or only core lines or older polishes were stocked. One day I saw the LA Girl 3D Holographic polishes and thought because they said ‘3D’ that I might have found some textures. Once I saw they weren’t textures I was disappointed and put them back – I was on a mission and missed these beauties. Before long I regretted it because by the time I went back, they were sold out! I was excited when they were brought back recently but I couldn’t buy them myself – luckily my family listened to my strong hinting and I got the 3 I wanted most! I’ve decided to start off with my favourite of the bunch. This is 3 coats of LA Girl Brilliant Blue. It is a gorgeous royal blue filled with holographic flecks. In indoor lighting (like in my photos), the holographic flecks look silvery with varying tints of blue. Take it out in the sun and the holo flecks come alive! I wasn’t able to get any sunlight photos of these but trust me when I say they are spectacular. This polish looked pretty good after 2 coats but the third coat did add a little more depth. Even without the full holo-ness, this is completely gorgeous. This had me wondering how a single polish could even be so beautiful! This polish is also extremely close to Zoya Dream, which is a long-time favourite of mine. I don’t have Dream but I believe they are very similar. Next up is LA Girl Black Illusion. This is two coats. Black Illusion is a black base packed with the same holographic flecks. A couple of times recently I found myself looking for a black polish which wasn’t just black and this one is perfect. It is also the ideal base for galaxy nail art!I don’t generally like plain black nail polish on my nails, but this has so much going on and it is just stunning. It is also very similar to Zoya Storm. Last but not least is LA Girl Teal Dimension. This is 2 coats with top coat. This is the only one I am showing with top coat as I found myself accidentally applying top coat before I took the pictures. This is a beautiful teal base, again filled with the same holographic flecks.
All three of these are absolutely gorgeous and all of them are favourites for me! Which do you like best?
