Water Marble Wednesday: Valentine’s Day

Painted Fingertips | Valentine's Day Water Marble

Hi everyone!

I know, I know, it’s already Thrusday, but this post was SUPPOSED to be ready yesterday. I’ve gotten really behind on blogging ever since I added the sweetest little kitten to my family a couple of weeks ago (I posted some pictures on Instagram, in case you’re curious). He has so much energy and playing with him has been taking up a lot of my nail time!

Today I have tried to create a heart water marble for Valentine’s Day. Unfortunately it didn’t come out quite as I was hoping, but let me show you anyway: Painted Fingertips | Valentine's Day Water MarbleYes, those are supposed to be hearts… you can sort of see what I was going for on my ring finger, but that’s about it. I checked out this tutorial by My Simple Little Pleasures for this marble pattern. Even though I could see hearts in the water, they didn’t translate so well onto the nail for me. I think most of the time my hearts were a bit too big and they seemed to blur somehow on the nail. So I suppose this isn’t a total failure, but just not what I was going for. I will have to practice the heart pattern some more.
