Today I have a special post to share with you. My fellow South African nail blogger Thea from Madness Nails is getting married today! A group of us have decided to celebrate with her by doing some bridal nails using her wedding colour. Congrats Thea and I hope you have an amazing wedding day!Thea’s wedding colour is plum so I started off with Sally Hansen Cherry, Cherry, Bang, Bang! on all my nails. I wanted to give it some sparkle so I added a coat of Essence Holo Jewels Bejeweled to all my nails. That toned down the plum base a bit but I think it was worth it for the sparkly opalescent look. I decided to go with an elegant freehand lace halfmoon look. I remembered seeing this post on Lucy’s Stash a while ago and decided to create something similar. I used white acrylic paint with a small brush for the half-moon designs. To me, this is the sort of compromise between elegance and doing what I want that I could go for in bridal nails. Bridal nails tend to usually be presented in very soft colours, understated, nude and pink, and never anything too bright or blingy. Well, here I’ve combined the elegant with the gorgeous wedding colour and it’s far from nude – this will stand out and I love it for that!
Congrats again Thea and check out the other celebratory posts in the inlinkz!
