Twin Nails: One Stroke Flowers with For the Love of Nail Art

Painted Fingertips | One-stroke flower with leaves

Hi everyone!

Today I am doing a twin post with Siobhan from For the Love of Nail Art. When she suggested we do a twin post, I suggested flowers and then she suggested one stroke, so here we are! You can check out her post over here. This was her first time doing one stroke and I think you’ll agree she did an amazing job – especially when you remember the disaster that was my first one stroke attempt! Painted Fingertips | One-stroke flower with leavesI started off with a base of Essence Walk on the Wild Side topped with 2 coats of LA GIrl Crowd Surfing. I don’t know why it took me so long to use this polish again because it is STUNNING! It made for a really amazing base so I couldn’t cover it on all my nails. Painted Fingertips | One-stroke flower with leavesI was at first inspired by this post on The Mani Cafe and decided I wanted to do a similar green one stroke flower. I started with the 2 ‘petals’ on my ring finger but I was struggling to get the gradient looking good on a pointed petal. After going over it a bunch of times I was finally happy with it but realised in the process the shape went a bit awry and my intended petals looked like leaves! No problem, I just reassessed and decided to do leaves with a blue flower instead 🙂Painted Fingertips | One-stroke flower with leavesI felt really proud of my blue flower as it looked a lot smoother than my previous one-stroke attempts. I liked it with the leaves on either side as well! Painted Fingertips | One-stroke flower with leavesWhat do you think?
