Purple nails with Freehand Art

Painted Fingertips | Purple with freehand nail art

Hi everyone!

If you’re a regular visitor on this blog, then you probably know by know that I love doing freehand nail art the most. It does take longer than many other techniques though, so I don’t always get a chance to do it. When I do, I love it, and today’s look is no exception! Painted Fingertips | Purple with freehand nail artI decided to try this after seeing a look by @polishthisannie on Instagram. I soon tracked it down to this post on her blog, Polish This! I loved the accent nail she had done and decided to try my own version. I changed it up by using a purple base rather than the red she had used. For her accent nail, Annie had used a stamping decal so I tried to recreate the same look freehand with my brush.  Painted Fingertips | Purple with freehand nail artI started with a base of China Glaze Tart-y for the Party and then on my index, middle and pinkie fingers I blotched on Tip Top Synergy using a piece of cling wrap. On my ring finger and thumb, I painted the pattern as best I could with a small brush and black and white acrylic paints. Painted Fingertips | Purple with freehand nail art

It isn’t perfect, but it’s pretty good and I am very happy with it! I love doing art like this because it’s fun and because I love wearing it on my nails. What do you think?Painted Fingertips | Purple with freehand nail art
