Water Marble Wednesday: Green and Purple

Hi everyone!

It’s Water Marble Wednesday and hopefully you know by now that means some awesome nail art! I am really proud of my marble today. This is the kind of marble that has made me envy marbling skills! Something was just right and I got the marble I’ve been searching for for ages. Painted Fingertips | Green and purple water marbleI’ve tried many different marble patterns – from woodgrain to candy cane – but somehow it’s only recently that I’ve managed to get a basic petal pattern right. Yes, I have eventually gotten the petal pattern right in the past, but I’m still really happy when I get it right and I remember how I’ve struggled with it. This one went really well and I’ve never before had so many ‘petals’ on one nail. Painted Fingertips | Green and purple water marble

I started off with a base of Sinful Colors Snow Me White. Once that was dry, I marbled with Essie Pretty Edgy and Tip Top Grape to Meet You. It’s really Grape to Meet You that made this marble. Pretty Edgy is interesting to marble with because it spreads really well across the water – it spreads more than any other polish I’ve used before and so much so that it can spread itself too thin, so you need to add quite a few rings of polish to the marble to make it work. That means that whatever polish you use together with Pretty Edgy is the make-or-break for the marble. In this case, it was definitely make! Painted Fingertips | Green and purple water marble

This is the happiest I’ve felt with a marble in ages. The clashing colours, the pattern, everything just came together for me. What do you think?Painted Fingertips | Green and purple water marble
