Last week I reviewed a Born Pretty Store stamping plate, and the images were so cool that I couldn’t resist doing another look with it. This time I decided to make some stamping decals, and the pattern and colours reminded me of a mosaic. The fact that I managed to wrinkle my ring finger nail aside, these were an absolute victory for me! I’m still struggling with stamping decals, but I love the concept of them and these are the most successful ones I’ve managed so far. I started with a base of Sinful Colors Ciel (not that you can see that any more). Meanwhile, I made the decals using two images from plate BP-L 003. I used a black stamping polish and filled in the gaps with Tip Top Beach Babe, In the Navy!, Armourplate, and Gold Digger. I added a couple of coats of Essence Absolute Pure (a clear polish), and once it was dry, peeled up the decals and stuck them to my nails with a coat of top coat. I especially like the way the square image looks as a decal.
Proof that practice makes perfect! These may not be perfect yet, but they are a lot better than my first attempt so it’s progress! What do you think?
