Today I have had some fun painting a freehand owl flying through the night sky. I’m not great at this type of freehand but I still enjoy doing it! Hopefully I will get better with some more practice 🙂
I’ve done a couple of these posts before, but in case you missed them, Hobby Polish Bloggers is a Facebook group for nail polish bloggers to discuss, ask questions, and support each other. Each month we do a themed link-up just for fun! If you’re a polish blogger, feel free to check out the group. This month’s theme was ‘starry night sky’. I was contemplating what to do when I remembered this manicure by Lindsay from Wondrously Polished which I had on my Pinterest board for ages!
I started with a base of ILNP Absolute Zero, and did the rest with acrylic paints. I wish mine looked a bit more like the original, but at least I think I’ve made a recognisable owl.
There is a reason most of the freehand I do is just a pattern in 1 or 2 colours! I find that easier and it’s still fun and looks cool. I think I need to do more things like this though so I can work on improving my skills! I don’t think I did badly, but there is room for improvement and I enjoy the freehand painting.
