Water Marble Wednesday: Zigzags over a marble

Painted Fingertips | Chevrons over a water marble

Hi everyone!

If any of you are wondering about what got me into blogging, my favourite and least favourite nail looks, and other fun questions, Ordinary Misfit interviewed me on her blog and you can check it out here.

I haven’t done a Water Marble Wednesday in a few weeks, but I’m back with a marble and this time I have used a water marble as a base for some zigzag nail art. Painted Fingertips | Chevrons over a water marbleI saw this post recently on More Nail Polish, and since I enjoy water marbles I just had to try something similar. The difference is that she used vinyls over a white polish and then marbled over them, while I used the marble as the base and then used the vinyls over it. This allowed me to use a textured polish for my zigzags which is of course fantastic! Painted Fingertips | Chevrons over a water marbleFor my water marble, I used Tip Top Cyan Can-Can, Sexy Bikini, As the Beat Grows On, Grape to Meet You, and Salsa Pop over a base of Tip Top Walking on Sunshine. These all marble pretty well but I wish they looked a bit brighter! Oh well. Painted Fingertips | Chevrons over a water marbleOnce they were dry, I applied my zigzag nail stickers from the Born Pretty Store, and painted a couple of coats of OPI Solitaire. The stickers didn’t peel off perfectly on my ring finger but they worked well on my other fingers! Wow, that looks awesome. Another amazing watermarble! And wow youre getting famous now, an interview with ordinary misfit. That 31 day challenge was how I started following you. Cathy @ more nail polish was the very first blogger I ever followed. Co-incidently I found Cathy from the picture polish website. Small world. I enjoyed reading your interview, well done 🙂

Thanks! That’s so interesting, and one of the reasons the 31 Day Challenge is so much fun – it makes it easy to discover new bloggers! And isn’t More Nail Polish great? 🙂
