Hi everyone!
A while ago I saw a few looks that had been done using alcohol inks as a medium for nail art. I remembered a had a few ink bottles in my craft drawer so I went to grab them… only to find that they were acrylic inks instead. I figured I could still do something fun with them though!
I started off with a base of Sinful Colors Ciel and then I used a makeup sponge and went crazy with the inks. I just took all the colours I had and splodged them on at random. I had originally intended this look for rainbow day, thinking I had a rainbow of colours, but they didn’t look much like a rainbow anymore by the time I was finished!
As they blended together, the inks started to look a little muddy, but as they looked less like a rainbow, they looked more like some modern art! Perfect for today’s theme even though they weren’t inspired by a specific artwork.
I think this is a really fun look and it was quick and easy to do!
In previous years, I have used actual artworks as my inspiration – one by Matisse and one by a really fun artist Megan Duncanson. Which was your favourite?
