Hi everyone!
Today I have another collaborative post with the other ladies from Crumpet’s Nail Tarts. Today’s theme is winter and for the first time for me, winter means snow. I’ve done plenty of snowy nail art before, it’s just the first time I’m experiencing it first-hand! I was inspired by the lovely trees I can see out of my window, becoming covered in snow.
I think it looks like some snow falling just after sunset against the dark blue sky.
I started with a base of Catrice Get the Blues and added a coat of Catrice Cool Breeze to create the iridescent effect of the falling snow. I used acrylic paint to add the green trees and white snow – partly because I found I didn’t have a single green polish dark enough!
It hasn’t snowed very much yet here, but I’m sure we’ll be getting some more soon. I still haven’t built a snowman – I’m looking forward to that! And any other fun snowy activities (including staying inside where it’s warm some days, of course! 🙂 )
Here you can see part of my inspiration. The first snow fell on Thanksgiving and we just took a walk to experience it. Lots of fun!
What do you think? Do you enjoy the snow?
