Today I am taking part in a Hobby Polish Bloggers linkup. If you’re also a blogger, it’s a great group to be in to discuss nails and blogging. This month’s theme is gradients.
If you haven’t heard of Piggieluv before, you’re going to thank me for this post. If you’re really into nails, though, you probably have! She is one of my favourite nail artists and does amazing freehand and 3D designs. Today’s look was inspired by this post she did. She created a love story in 5 manis and I chose one of the 5 to repoduce. I went with a different coloured gradient, and somehow my couple ended up looking really short, but overall I like it!
I started off with a gradient of Sinful Colors Snow Me White, Essence Happy End, and Tip Top Pot-O-Berries. I used black acrylic paint for the rest. I really wanted to use Tip Top Melting Marshmallows that I showed you the other day for the gradient, only to realise I didn’t bring it with me when I moved! Sigh. That’s been happening a lot – I could only bring a few polishes with so there are always some that I miss!
I added the hanging hearts along with a few more butterflies on my thumb nail to complete the look. With Valentine’s Day around the corner, nail art like this is the perfect way to celebrate 🙂
Don’t they look like a happy couple?
