Painted Fingertips | For the Love of Nail Art - Valentine's Guest Post

Hi everyone!

I am excited to share another guest post with you today. This one is from Siobhan of For the Love of Nail Art. Siobhan is a good ‘blogging friend’ of mine and we enjoy sharing our love of nail art (and pictures of our adorable cats!) Today she has come up with something perfect for a cute Valentine’s Day nail look!

Kerry asked me some time ago to guest for her and I said yes, all amped and excited… Then I found nothing good that I wanted to do for her, then work started and other engagements so I didn’t get chance to look again. I found this manicure a few days ago and when I saw it, I KNEW it was what I wanted to do for her.

It is inspired by @zunonails  and her manicure is beyond perfect to me! Here’s my recreation:Painted Fingertips | For the Love of Nail Art - Valentine's Guest Post

For this manicure, I used a base colour of Essence’s Sweet Caramel Sweets and then used a dotting tools along with Tip Top Nails SA’s Melting Marshmallow to do the hearts and dotticure border.

Here’s a video tutorial:

Quick Guide:

Wipe nails with acetone to remove excess oils.

Base coat.

Two coats of nude polish.

Using a medium sized dotting tool and pink polish, make an upside down V above the cuticle (start by dragging the dotting tool at and angle upwards, then do the other side).

Using a smaller dotting tool and pink polish, make small dots along the edge of your nail. I do 3 dots, clean my tool, dip in polish and dot again.

Finish with a matte top coat. I first do a top coat and then Matte Top Coat so I get a smooth finish.

Clean around your cuticle and nails.

BOOM!

Here’s a quick look at Essence’s Sweet Caramel Sweets.Painted Fingertips | For the Love of Nail Art - Valentine's Guest Post

It is such an awesome, caramel, nude polish from their 2015 Advent Calendar which they NEED to make a CORE colour ASAP!

Two coats for opacity and has a lovely formula. It doesn’t dry shiny, but rather, almost satiny which makes this colour even MORE awesome!

So Kerry, you like?

I hope you do and thanks for letting me spam you with my video and post!

I hope you all love this look as much as I do! It’s such a simple, elegant look to try for your Valentine’s Day nails or any other time. Thank you so much V for letting me share this amazing look!
