I’m excited to show you what I’ve done for today just because it is so far out of my comfort zone. I’ve combined 3 things I rarely wear and I ended up really liking the outcome!
If you visit my blog often, you probably notice a lot of blue, green, purple, and turquoise nails. Pink is not a colour I wear often so that was the first step out of my comfort zone. Gold was the second. I use gold polish for nail art fairly often but I rarely wear it on its own, and I think I only have 2 or 3 gold polishes. I also always choose silver-coloured jewellery! Finally the third and biggest step out of my comfort zone… the leopard print! I rarely do leopard print and I’ve never been a big fan of it. That said, when I tried it here I liked it a lot and painting it was fun too!
I started with a base of Tip Top Sitting Pretty (which I’m pretty sure my camera made look rather different than it looks in real life), then I did the leopard print using Tip Top Gold Mine and black acrylic paint. I referred to this post on More Nail Polish a bit while painting this, although I’ve seen mini leopard prints around a few times. I decided to go with the mini print both to make it more fun and challenging to paint and to be something more interesting to wear!
What do you think?
