Swatches: Sinful Colors Kameleon and Kleopatra

Painted Fingertips | Swatch - Sinful Colors Kameleon

Hi everyone!

By now you might have heard of the huge Sinful Colors collection that was brought out in collaboration with Kylie Jenner. I know there are a lot of mixed opinions about Kylie and personally I don’t know much about her. For me, as usual, it’s all about the polish! Once I saw that there were a few duochromes available, I had to try a couple out. I love my duochromes and you can’t beat the price. Sinful Colors definitely impresses me by being one of the only mainstream brands to really try different finishes and try to be a bit more unique with their polishes. So, let’s take a look at the two I decided to try! Painted Fingertips | Swatch - Sinful Colors Kameleon

First up is Sinful Colors Kameleon. Here I’ve shown two coats, but this was pretty close to opaque in just one. This is without top coat. Painted Fingertips | Swatch - Sinful Colors Kameleon

I love this type of duochrome and I can see myself using this one a lot. The main colour is a golden green and you can see it becoming bluer around the edges. The one and only downside to this polish is that it’s a little brushstrokey. I still think it’s outstanding for such an affordable brand and when used as a base for nail art, those brushstrokes don’t matter as much. Painted Fingertips | Swatch - Sinful Colors Kameleon

I love the colour and the shift enough that I’m still into it! Painted Fingertips | Swatch - Sinful Colors Kleopatra

Next up we have Sinful Colors Kleopatra. This one looked quite grey in the bottle, and to me appeared bluer on my nails. I did also find that this varied with light conditions, with it sometimes looking greyer and other times bluer. Painted Fingertips | Swatch - Sinful Colors Kleopatra

In any case, the main shade is that blue-grey with a purple shift. To me this is another absolute winner. I don’t have any other polishes with a similar shift, and I love it. It does unfortunately have the same problem with visible brushstrokes, but again I still think it’s worth it. Painted Fingertips | Swatch - Sinful Colors Kleopatra

What do you think – do you love or hate these two? Have you tried any polishes from the Kylie ranges?

  • Queen of Nails 83

I heard mixed reviews on this collection, but these two are beautiful and makes me want to run out to get them.

    • Painted Fingertips

      They’re the only 2 I picked up so far, I couldn’t resist.

  • Nichole C

these are pretty! Try sponging on a final coat of color to murder those brush strokes!

    • Painted Fingertips

I should totally try that! I stamped over these later though and the brushstrokes became a lot less noticeable anyway.

  • Naked Without Polish

    Great swatches!

    • Painted Fingertips

      Thank you!

  • Hope Elaysse

Both of these are really gorgeous. Great swatches. 🙂

    • Painted Fingertips

      Thank you! 🙂

  • Manases Andrea

I love duochromes a lot and these one are beautiful indeed!

    • Painted Fingertips

Me too – really glad to have a couple more in my life!

  • Tea & Nail Polish

I have been looking for these two (the only ones I really liked from swatches I have seen) but no luck finding them in the limited selections we got locally

    • Painted Fingertips

Ugh, sucks that you can’t find them. I hope you still do!

  • Simona @LightYourNails!

The shades are pretty but I just can’t pass over the brushstrokes!

    • Painted Fingertips

That’s what I thought when I saw swatches but I decided to try them anyway. I love them in person. I have also heard of a couple of methods to get rid of brushstrokes (e.g. adding a matte top coat then glossy again is supposed to help) – I haven’t tried this yet myself though. I know it is more effort, though!

  • Lisa Marie Heath

I’ve been eyeing so many shades from this line – and these are 2 of them. I don’t mind too much about brush strokes either, so I might have to grab them!

    • Painted Fingertips

I thought I’d mind from swatches I’d seen, but they’re so pretty that it’s worth it!

  • Shawna Harrold

These are so beautiful, and you wear them so very well!!

    • Painted Fingertips

      Thank you!

  • Lothwen Akira

    I love these!
Now the question is: Do they stamp? 😉

    • Painted Fingertips

Ahhhh, I haven’t tested yet! What was I thinking?? Get with it, Kerry, stamp with these babies!

  • Ann

    These look amazing on you!
