By now you might have heard of the huge Sinful Colors collection that was brought out in collaboration with Kylie Jenner. I know there are a lot of mixed opinions about Kylie and personally I don’t know much about her. For me, as usual, it’s all about the polish! Once I saw that there were a few duochromes available, I had to try a couple out. I love my duochromes and you can’t beat the price. Sinful Colors definitely impresses me by being one of the only mainstream brands to really try different finishes and try to be a bit more unique with their polishes. So, let’s take a look at the two I decided to try!
First up is Sinful Colors Kameleon. Here I’ve shown two coats, but this was pretty close to opaque in just one. This is without top coat.
I love this type of duochrome and I can see myself using this one a lot. The main colour is a golden green and you can see it becoming bluer around the edges. The one and only downside to this polish is that it’s a little brushstrokey. I still think it’s outstanding for such an affordable brand and when used as a base for nail art, those brushstrokes don’t matter as much.
I love the colour and the shift enough that I’m still into it!
Next up we have Sinful Colors Kleopatra. This one looked quite grey in the bottle, and to me appeared bluer on my nails. I did also find that this varied with light conditions, with it sometimes looking greyer and other times bluer.
In any case, the main shade is that blue-grey with a purple shift. To me this is another absolute winner. I don’t have any other polishes with a similar shift, and I love it. It does unfortunately have the same problem with visible brushstrokes, but again I still think it’s worth it.
What do you think – do you love or hate these two? Have you tried any polishes from the Kylie ranges?
