Hi everyone!
Today I have a purple stamping polish to share with you – and I’m getting it in on a rare Tuesday post because I wanted to share one last review before the 31 Day Challenge starts. It’s starting this Thursday! I am NOT ready – either for the challenge or for September in general! If you’re interested in taking part in the challenge, check out the FAQ on Chalkboard nails and the daily inlinkz on More Nail Polish. Now, on to today’s two looks!
For the first look, I felt like stamping over something very glittery. I decided to create my extra-glittery base by sponging on Tip Top Galaxy. I then stamped over it using Born Pretty’s purple stamping polish and plate MM20 from Messy Mansion.
As I’ve come to expect from them recently, the Born Pretty stamping polish stamped beautifully. Shows up well, no bald spots, and it looked amazing with the glitter.
It’s clear I don’t combine stamping and glitter often enough!
For my second look, I decided to combine the purple with a teal base.
Unfortunately, I think the strong, saturated teal shade overpowered the stamping and so it didn’t look quite like I’d imagined. The purple still stamped perfectly, but I felt like the two colours were fighting each other instead of working together.
For this one, I started with a base of Darling Diva Francis, then stamped using the purple stamping polish and plate BP-L029.
What do you think of these two looks?
