The 40 great nail art ideas challenge is still going on with a manicure popping in every here and there for me. It looks like I might have to skip the final 3 prompts because other things will be happening on the blog, but we’ll see. For now, today’s theme is ‘things in the water’.
A couple of months ago I came upon a discounted set of OPI color paints minis and I scooped them up. I had seen too much cool nail art done with these to pass them by! Of course, these are perfect to do a pond mani with, which is just what I decided to try today.
I used the Silver Canvas Undercoat base and then used two of the color paints, Primarily Yellow and Turquoise Aesthetic, while stamping between layers. For the stamping, I used Moyou Sailor Collection 04. I really like how you see different coloured fish due to the combination of the two different color paints when layering!
I wasn’t totally sure about this look when I finished it, but my husband really liked it and it slowly grew on me. I do love how shiny and squishy the color paints are!
