It’s day 14 of the 31 Day Challenge – that means we’re already 2 weeks in! I’m glad I’ve already managed 14 looks while sticking to my freehand-every-day vow 🙂 Today’s theme is flowers, and I decided to go with a delicate pastel look.
I started with a base of Elevation Yeti Hugs, Feel so Close, which is a lovely not-quite-white, perfect as a base for nail art. I used acrylic paints for the flowers and I am so happy with how they came out! These were inspired by @CottonConey. As usual, I used a matte top coat before painting the flowers to make the painting easier. Painting these made me realise that I rarely paint in pastel shades – I usually go with the vibrant shades of the paint straight out of the bottle. Pastels were perfect for this look, though. They created a much more delicate and sophisticated vibe than I would imagine this same design looking with bright colours.
I really loved these! I was sad to take it off. The macro shows some imperfections, but it looked pretty close to perfect on my nails.
We’re almost half way through the challenge already! I have some really fun looks coming up and also quite a few that I still need to do – for some of these themes it’s almost harder to think up ideas than to do the actual art.
