Hi everyone!

Merry Christmas! I hope you’ve had a lovely peaceful day. I’m mid-vacation – which is why I haven’t posted over the past week. I really wanted to share these Christmassy, wintery water decals with you today, though. I had to try these lovely snowman scene water decals from Born Pretty Store the moment I saw them!Painted Fingertips | Snowy Scene Water Decals from Born Pretty Store

Just in case these weren’t fully opaque, I started off with a light-coloured base polish of Elevation Walk a Little Farther. The decals were easy to apply – I trimmed them to be closer to my nail size, peeled off the plastic covering, and soaked them in water for 20 seconds or so. Carefully slide them off the backing and place them on the nail, blot off the excess water, file off any excess length and add a top coat. The only thing is that you have to remember to peel off the plastic first, if you don’t then the decal will stick to the plastic rather than your nail! Yes, that did happen to me – and no, it wasn’t the first time. Painted Fingertips | Snowy Scene Water Decals from Born Pretty Store

I really love the cute pattern of these and how detailed they are. There is only one complaint I have and that is that the decals come with only just enough for one full manicure – so if you ruin one of the decals (like I did by forgetting to remove the plastic), then you can’t do a full manicure. At least they are affordable enough that you can get multiples if you’d like. Painted Fingertips | Snowy Scene Water Decals from Born Pretty Store

I had a lovely warm Christmas in California this year – but these would be perfect for my current home in snowy Minnesota!
