Swatch: Vapid Bruised

Hi everyone!

Today I have another swatch to share with you, this time of the gorgeous Vapid Bruised. I couldn’t help but get my hands on this one when I saw how delightfully sparkly and glittery it was – and blue! Painted Fingertips | Swatch - Vapid BruisedI mean – just look at that macro! Bruised is a deep blue jelly absolutely jam-packed with tiny holographic hex glitters. Painted Fingertips | Swatch - Vapid BruisedI honestly don’t think my pictures do this one justice. It is SO very sparkly! I used two coats of Bruised here, and despite the amount of glitter, it went on beautifully. No dabbing or poking or smearing required – just paint it on. All that glitter does leave it with a slightly textured finish, so you may need extra top coat – I found that my normal coat wasn’t quite enough – the thirsty glitter drank it up and although it looked pretty, I felt like it could be even sparklier and squishier. So, I added a second top coat, and I’m glad I did – it smoothed the glitters out completely and left me with gorgeous galaxy-like nails. Painted Fingertips | Swatch - Vapid BruisedThere’s really nothing not to love about Bruised – from the deep richness of the blue to the sparkling mass of glitters. It even makes me think of Doctor Who a little – it’s like a combination between a TARDIS blue and the darker blue of the night sky, teeming with stars to travel to! Actually, I’m not sure what I was thinking – why didn’t I paint a little TARDIS flying across this starry base? I’ll have to do that next time I put it on, it’s the perfect polish for that! Painted Fingertips | Swatch - Vapid Bruised MacroThe macro makes the blue base appear darker than it really is, but look!!! Look at those glitters – sparkling in every perfect starry colour you can imagine! Painted Fingertips | Swatch - Vapid BruisedHave I raved about this polish enough yet? (if not, scroll back up and let the pictures speak for themselves!). If you love it as much as I do, good news – it’s still available! Head over to the Vapid site to purchase it.

Do you love this one as much as I do?
