The Digital Dozen Does Art: The Scream

Hi everyone!

It’s Digital Dozen week! This week’s theme is art and it’s actually the second time that this is a Digital Dozen theme. The first time was long before I was a member of the group, though. I was pretty excited about this theme, even though it’s a tough one! I knew that it would challenge me to create some really cool nail art, and it definitely has. I’ve done three of the looks for this week so far and I really like all of them. We’ll see how it goes with the last two!

For the first art look for this week, I decided to go with a very famous painting: The Scream by Edvard Munch. Painted Fingertips | The Digital Dozen Does Art - The Scream by Edvard MunchDid you know that Munch actually did four different versions of this picture? I had no idea – one version is certainly more recognisable in terms of colours and style but all of them have a similar look and the same composition. For my nail art version of The Scream, I started with a white base using Sinful Colors Snow Me White. I then used acrylic paints for the art and finished it off with a matte top coat. It still goes with the style of the rest of the picture. I had a lot of fun doing it and I was very happy with the result. Of course, after that, it proved harder than expected to find inspiration for the rest of the week! I’m still pretty excited for this theme, though, because it’s a fun challenge. I’m looking forward to seeing what the rest of the Digital Dozen has come up with, too! Here are today’s posts:
