Today I’m sharing something from a brand which is appearing here on Painted Fingertips for the first time! Fair Maiden Polish is made here in Minnesota, and I’ve wanted to try them out ever since I moved here. I finally purchased 2 of their polishes, and I’m sharing the first one today, along with some nail art. Fair Maiden Purplexed is an exclusive shade for Color4Nails. I just happened to be shopping on Color4Nails back when they had their black Friday sale (it’s taken me a while to get these posted, even though I wore the polish pretty soon after purchasing it!) and I couldn’t resist Purplexed. I didn’t even realise at first that it was an exclusive shade.Purplexed is a lovely linear holo orchid, packed with blue and violet microflakies that add beautiful dimension. Shown here are 2 easy coats with top coat. The formula was great and I was certainly happy with my first Fair Maiden experience!
As you can see, the holographic effect is beautifully done and strong enough to come through even under the artificial lighting I use for my photographs. Although the macro isn’t colour-accurate (the polish isn’t this dark!), you can see those blue microflakies beautifully. This is a really stunning polish and, of course, perfect for my purple-loving heart. As I was swatching this polish, I happened to notice the pretty, colourful floral logo printed on the label. Of course, I decided that this would be perfect for some nail art! Over Purplexed, I painted my florals inspired by the Fair Maiden logo with acrylic paint. Now isn’t that a cool place to find inspiration for some nail art? From the logo of the polish itself! I really enjoyed my first Fair Maiden experience and I hope I’ll try some more of their polishes soon. Do you have any that are absolute must-haves?
