The polish swatched in this post was provided for my honest review.
Are you a fan of Sweet & Sour Lacquer? They’re a fairly new-to-me brand, this is only the second time anything from them is appearing on the blog. The first was this bright swirly neon water marble than I did using their Catchphrases collection. Today, I have a swatch of their April POTM (polish of the month) to share with you. The April POTM is a blue-purple multichrome, so that’s already three of my favourite things! This is a monthly limited edition polish which will be available for purchase throughout the month of April and then will disappear forever once it’s sold out. Shown here are 2 coats of the April POTM with top coat. Formula was good, on the thicker side but not too thick and easy to work with. It’s a blue-purple multichrome with added scattered holographic effect and magenta microflakies. On my curved nails, I found that the purple tones came out the most, which of course made me happy! Looking at the bottle in the shot above, you can even see some gold tones appearing along the curve of the bottle, but I didn’t see those on the nail. I just love shifty polishes! The macro is not as colour-accurate, but you can see some of that holo coming through. Of course, I had to throw in an underwater shot! Multichromes show a stronger shift underwater and here you can see some of the golden tones coming out. Now if I can just figure out how to take an underwater shot with no bubbles!
Many multichromes are known for their superior stamping abilities, so I decided to test out the April POTM for stamping capabilities:I anticipated that it would look best over black since that tends to be the case for multichromes, but I decided to test it over both black and white. It looks rather washed out over the white but, as expected, it’s glorious over the black! This one can definitely go in my stamping-over-dark-colours lineup. What do you think of this polish? Are you a fan of multichromes too?
