Hi everyone!
It’s Water Marble Wednesday! Your favourite time of the week (right?) and I have a really good one to share with you today! In fact, I almost didn’t post this today because I kept thinking it was Thursday! Luckily I decided to check my blog calendar and saw that I had this post planned.
We are having the craziest weather here the past couple of weeks. We’ll have a couple of really warm days, then it’ll be freezing again; snow and then a thunderstorm; and today there are blustering winds! I’ve always loved the warmer weather so I can’t wait until we’re properly into Spring. On to my bright, summery water marble!
This was a water marble experiment which turned into a huge success, if I do say so myself. The experiment was that I decided to see if my OPI Color Paints would be any good for marbling. As you can see, they are! They marble beautifully and this just has me wishing that I had the full collection!
To give this marble some sparkle, I started with a base of Polish ‘M Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow. I then marbled using OPI Pen & Pink, Primarily Yellow, Turquoise Aesthetic, and Purple Perspective. I decided to keep it simple with the pattern. I did my index finger first and that was actually the pattern I was hoping to achieve on all of my nails. It didn’t quite work out that way, but I still love this marble!
That macro… just look at it! Seriously, scroll back up and look again. I am absolutely loving the effect of the sheer color paints over the silver glittery base!
There’s a teeny mistake on my thumbnail, but we’ll just pretend we haven’t noticed that, shall we? I think I’ve made it clear enough that I absolutely love how this marble came out. I need to do some more marbles with these polishes! What do you think of this one?
