Today I have a review of another Born Pretty Store stamping polish to share with you. The only blue stamping polish I had was the very pale pastel I used here, so I decided it was time to get my hands on another blue. Today I’m sharing 2 nail art looks using Born Pretty stamping polish #284.
For the first look, I started with a base of Supermoon Lacquer You Better Run. I figured the combination of blue and coral would be awesomely eye-searing, so I decided to stamp with stamping polish #284 and Plate BP-L029 (reviewed here).
The polish stamped perfectly. The odd spots of black on my pointer finger have nothing to do with this polish – that’s what I get for neglecting to clean my stamping plate as thoroughly as I should. I had been hoping for an ever-so-slightly darker blue stamping polish and I was a little surprised by how light this was when I opened it – but it’s just barely a shade lighter than it appeared to me on the site. I definitely still need a truly bright blue stamping polish as well, but I do like this dusty blue! I have really found that all of the BPS stamping polishes in this line are a pleasure to stamp with and this one was no exception. For my second look, I wanted to see how this polish performed over a darker base. I started off with a base of Zoya Olivera and then stamped using two images from Born Pretty Celebration plate BPX-L014 (reviewed here) and the blue stamping polish.
I didn’t realise until I was going through the photos of this nail art that I’d ended up doing something floral for both looks with this stamping polish. It wasn’t really planned that way, they were just the images I felt like using as I flipped through my stamping plates. As you can see, the blue stamping polish shows up perfectly over the darker base as well. I’m beginning to amass quite the little collection of these stamping polishes – I want them all!
