Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer – May Releases

The items in this post have been provided for honest review.

Hi everyone!

This month is Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer’s 4th birthday, and I have their lovely birthday polish to share with you as well as some more May releases! Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer is a brand I have been watching for a long time, so I was overjoyed when Julie contacted me about swatching for this release. All of these will be releasing tomorrow, 31 May, at 3:30 pm EDT, in the Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer shop.

Aside from the four polishes I have to share with you today, there will also be a re-release of a few older polishes. I will have some of them to share with you soon as well, but for now, here are the four new releases:

Painted Fingertips | Swatch - Blue-Eyed Girl On B-Days We Wear BlueFirst up is the fourth birthday celebratory polish, On B-Days We Wear Blue. I love blue polish so I was excited to try this one! Painted Fingertips | Swatch - Blue-Eyed Girl On B-Days We Wear BlueThis is a gorgeous light but bright blue with a green-to-purple shifting shimmer. The green predominates on these pictures but you can see the shift clearly in person.Shown here are two coats with top coat.

Painted Fingertips | Swatch - Blue-Eyed Girl On B-Days We Wear BlueThis is such a gorgeous polish and definitely made a good first impression for my first Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer experience!

Painted Fingertips | Swatch - Blue-Eyed Girl On B-Days We Wear Blue macroIsn’t it beautiful? Although the green is more visible, you can see a little of the purple coming out on the left edge of my nail here. Painted Fingertips | Swatch - Blue-Eyed Girl On B-Days We Wear BlueSuch a beautiful polish!

The second one I have to share with you is a part of a Destination Polish Duo collaboration with Poetry Cowgirl Nail Polish. I don’t have the Poetry Cowgirl half of the duo, but you can see it in this post by Cosmetic Sanctuary. These two polishes are inspired by a picture of the colour changing fountains at Trafalgar Square in London. The duo also comes with a fun bag of glitter for nail art.

Painted Fingertips | Swatch - Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Mermaids in LondonThe Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer half of the duo is called Mermaids in London. Shown here are two coats with top coat.

Painted Fingertips | Swatch - Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Mermaids in LondonThis is a vibrant bright red with rose gold and ruby micro flakes and ultra holo micro flakes.

Painted Fingertips | Swatch - Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Mermaids in LondonEven though red is not my favourite polish colour, this one really is lovely and the micro flakes make it something very special. You can see how beautifully they come through on the macro.

Painted Fingertips | Swatch - Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Mermaids in London macroWhat a lovely interpretation of the Trafalgar Square fountains!

Painted Fingertips | Swatch - Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Mermaids in LondonThe last two polishes I have to show you are both exclusives for the BEGLove Facebook fan group. These two are completely stunning so if you’re not in the group, be sure to join it so that you can get your hands on these!

Painted Fingertips | Swatch - Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Morning StarThis is Morning Star. This one is a navy blue jelly packed with black holo microglitters, blue holo glitters in different sizes, matte yellow hex glitter, and matte yellow star glitters. This polish is inspired by the famous and wonderful Van Gogh painting, The Starry Night.

Painted Fingertips | Swatch - Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Morning StarI wasn’t so sure about this one in the bottle, but I loved it once I got it on my nails. Shown here are 3 coats with top coat. This one looks good in 2 coats already but I decided on a third to get full coverage and depth with the jelly base.

Painted Fingertips | Swatch - Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Morning StarThis one absolutely sparkles in the sunlight! I had to share the sparkle with you so I took a quick and dirty cellphone video in the sunlight (if you look carefully, you might see my cat!):

Look at how it sparkles!

Painted Fingertips | Swatch - Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Morning Star macroThe formula is great and the glitter transferred easily and smoothly to the nail, but I did find myself wishing that there were just a few more of the stars. I like that there aren’t so many that it becomes overly busy, but I thought they were just slightly sparse.

Last but not least is the second Facebook group custom, Luminous Matter. Painted Fingertips | Swatch - Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Luminous MatterI knew from the moment I saw this one in the bottle that I was going to love it, and it didn’t disappoint.

Painted Fingertips | Swatch - Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Luminous MatterShown here are two easy, gorgeous coats with top coat. This one was pretty opaque in a single coat already, but I added a second one for full coverage.Painted Fingertips | Swatch - Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Luminous MatterThis one is so beautiful. It’s inspired by the milky way and honestly, it’s perfect! This one is a dusty indigo base with scattered holo and holo microglitter and green to purple shifting shimmer. The green to purple shift is completely gorgeous and I couldn’t stop looking at my nails with this one on!

Painted Fingertips | Swatch - Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Luminous Matter macroAlthough the others were also beautiful, this one was my favourite! It is truly beautiful and I need to do some nail art with this one as soon as possible.
